ARTIFITIAL SETELITE - BADAR II

Artificial satellite is a machine comprises of electronic devices. These machines are sent--either for experiment, communication or any other purpose--to space to revolve around the earth on predetermined orbits.

BADAR*- I

An experimental satellite deployed in 1990.

*Badar is an Arabic word which means "complete moon as seen on 14th of every month of Islamic Calendar"

BADAR-II

A communicational satellite- result of joint work of SUPARCO from Pakistan and of Chinese scientists.

3 computers

 

Two computers are satellite self-monitoring and -control types. They monitor temperature of different parts of satellite and current usage. Moreover it controls transmitter, receiver etc.

 

Third computer is for communication purpose.

Temperature Control Devices

To control the temperature of different parts of satellite

Position Detectors and Controller

Two Digital Sun Sensors to monitor the position of satellite. Attitude Controller will be used to control the horizontal and/or vertical position

Dosimeter

To monitor the radiation of sun.
